Newly released bodycam video shows an Ohio dog owner's furious reaction after her yellow Lab, Dixie, was gunned down by a cop. Dixie's owner, Tammie Kerns, says her four yellow Labs ran out of her house and were being rounded up when a cop pulled over. Dixie ran towards the officer and was shot. Within moments angry neighbors came out to vent their anger at the cop who shot the beloved family dog. Now, protestors are calling for the officer to be prosecuted for animal cruelty. The officer says he feared for his safety.
A Sunrise, Florida police sergeant is seen on bodycam video grabbing a female's throat during an arrest on November 19, 2021. A witness followed the suspect who was later identified as 31-year-old Elizandro Vargas. The suspect was holding a brick when he encountered police officers. Officers ordered Vargas to drop the brick, instead Vargas threw the brick at the officer, who ducks and side steps. Cellphone video captured the moment three Good Samaritans jumped out of their vehicles to help a California Highway Patrol officer who was being attacked by a man on the side of a busy freeway onramp. The incident occurred on May 19 at around 5 p.m., at the Main Street northbound entrance to the 5 Freeway in Santa Ana. CHP officers had been called to the area on reports of a man yelling at drivers and trying to take down a freeway sign. Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley is calling for urgent reforms to make things fairer for officers who can face years of scrutiny over their handling of life and death incidents. Six terrorists have been shot dead in four major incidents in London since 2017, without any firearms officers being arrested or subjected to lengthy investigations by the police watchdog. In contrast, armed officers who have opened fire while responding to other types of crime have faced arrest, charges and lengthy disciplinary procedures. Sir Mark said: “One thing that’s really startled me is I’ve had some of our firearms officers say to me they would rather end up confronting on the streets a well-trained terrorist than a gangster. “Because even though they would face far more personal danger with the terrorist, they believe they’d get a fair hearing in terms of the legal processes that follow.
