With the latest Roku OS 10.5, strong app support, an upgraded mobile app and improved visuals, the Streaming Stick 4K boasts a comprehensive set of features. It's certainly my favourite smart streamer of 2021, for under £100. Setup is straightforward, just a few steps and you're in. Those visuals have been improved, with DV added to the HDR smarts, and full Ultra HD support for the best viewing experience. Providing your TV can handle it, of course. All of the major apps can be found on the Roku Streaming Stick 4K, as well as a lot of just plain weird and some slightly terrifying ones. That Voice Remote Control is as excellent as ever, despite the app shortcut buttons that can't be customised. You've got cross-platform voice search now, while the Roku App for iOS and Android also works a charm. So what do you reckon, is this really the best budget streaming box around? Reviewing the fresh Roku Express 4K TV streamer, with a swift unboxing, run through the setup process, a look at the Roku OS 10 and more. If you're after a budget Ultra HD streaming stick in 2021, this is among the very best, with added HDR10 Plus goodness. As ever, the Roku Express 4K is tiny and discrete. It connects to any spare HDMI port on your TV via the bundled high-speed cable (make sure you have HDCP 2.2 support for the maxed-out visuals). Setup is super simple, and I had no issues streaming content via WiFi, even at that 4K resolution. Sadly there's no voice control via the remote however. So vs the older Roku streamers, you get dual band WiFi support, HDR10 Plus support and all for a great price of just £39 in the UK. Reviewing the Roku Streambar after a couple of weeks of testing - one of the best budget soundbars of 2020, paired with the same 4K HDR TV streaming of other Roku devices. The compact Streambar telly speaker can pump out fantastic audio while also serving up Ultra HD services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. All for £129 from Amazon here in the UK. You don't get HDR10 Plus or Dolby Plus support here, just standard HDR10, but those visuals still look slick when streaming content. But it's the audio where this Roku soundbar-cum-streaming stick really excels. Along with Dolby Atmos support, you get a surround sound style experience at home. Roku UI offers up access to all of the main streamers including Apple TV now, along with lots of other channels. The Streambar also supports ARC so you can use it for gaming with the likes of Xbox One Series X and PS5. If you want a great value TV soundbar with the added bonus of streaming stick functionality, the Roku Streambar is a great option. Re-pair your voice remote to your streaming device Put your streaming device in pairing mode: Remove the power cable from your streaming device Wait at least 5 seconds Re-connect the power cable Wait for your streaming device to power on, and the Home screen to appear on your TV screen Within 30 seconds of seeing the Home screen on your TV screen, put your voice remote into pairing mode Put your voice remote in pairing mode: Remove the battery cover on the back of your voice remote Remove both batteries from the battery compartment Wait 5 seconds and then reinsert the batteries If your remote has a pairing button, press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds, or until you see the status light begin to flash. If your remote does not have a pairing button, press and hold both the Home home button on Roku remote button and Back back button on Roku remote button for 5 seconds, or until you see the status light begin to flash. If the status light does not flash, try replacing the batteries. Wait for 30 seconds while the remote establishes a connection with your streaming device. Once you streaming device and remote are connected, the pairing dialog will appear on your TV screen. Replace your remote batteries Remove the battery cover on the back of your remote Remove both batteries from the battery compartment Replace the batteries with a new matching pair and test again
